Why does this folder open on startup?

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ulead

Something strange happened. When I sat down at my computer this morning it was powered down however I definitely did not shut it down. So I started it up again and when XP loaded, the folder above opened.

Another weird thing was that when I started Firefox (and restored my previous sessions), some music began playing through my speakers. I don't know if it was a web page playing the music or if it was just coincidence that it started when I opened Firefox. But I don't think that I had any web pages open that had any audio embedded... as I started looking at each tab in each window, it stopped.

I have not been able to reproduce the music thing but the folder does open upon every restart.

I checked startup items - no reference to it in there. I'm not even running Ulead - even stranger. Both AVG and SpySweeper say my system is clean.

Googled for this and most results have to do with an error in the registry for entries related to Norton applications (which I am not running) - no references to Ulead.

Any ideas what this may be or how I can go about finding the cause?

Ulead is a burning program I believe.
    ULead

Check your installed programs, as you might have it as a bundle, and an update might have caused it.

yeah the only references to Ulead I can find anywhere are the folder that keeps opening on startup and a bunch that look like this:

    Ulead - WMV Zune 640x480 High Quality.prx

that are located in C:\Program Files\Windows Media Components\Encoder\Profiles

wondering what it may be bundled with...

did you get a Zune MP3 Player?

To stop it, run msconfig, and take t out of the startup.

Then try and remember what you recently installed.
