    speech devices

Does anyone know of a small, portable (preferably inexpensive) device that will translate your typed words to speech? In other words, you type and it speaks for you...

I have looked at the Type 'N Speak 2000. Very feature rich device - way more than what I'm looking for (and way out of my budget).

I'm thinking this is probably better suited for the the Computers forum. Mods, would someone mind moving this? Thanks.

Will the old-school, TI Speak and Read let you enter a sentence and then read it back to you?
