    Bed Sore

    Hi, I had a bedsore 4 years already, any suggestion?

    Where is your pressure ulcer? What stage is it? What size it is? Are you laying or sitting on the area at all? What have you been doing to treat it? We need more information.

    Have you been off of it for all that time? Four years and I would get a bone scan ... I wonder if there's infection in the bone (Osteomyelitis). If there is, the soft tissues won't heal until that is dealt with.

    Have you ever tried electrical stimulation of the area? That won't work either though until the bone is clean.

    Can your doctor order a bone scan?

    It was at my sacrum side and it was about 4cm. Many type of salve i had been try. Can you suggest me any salve. (sorry that my english is no good, hopefully u can understand) thank you.

    The sore is clean. The problem now is it's hard to cover the skin.

    No. I had no tried any above.

    Is it possible for your to post or e-mail us a digital photo? This would help to determine how severe it is, and what treatment would be indicated. I would agree that if you have had it this long, and it is to the bone that you may have osteomyelitis, but it is not possible to make much recommendations without more information.
