    Solar Eclipse...

    There will be a Solar Eclipse on Aug 1. Any Canadian CC'ers can view it in these cities: Saint Johns, Halifax and Quebec. If anybody can post pictures that would be awesome. Is it the Solar Eclipse you're not suppose to look at directly?
    Stupidity ain't illegal, but it sure is inconvenient.

    Yes. Looking directly at a solar eclipse for very long can cause damage to the retinas.

    This is exciting. I saw an annular eclipse in 1994, and hope I'm able to catch at least a partial glimpse of this one. They do something to the imagination--they are inexplicably magical, intimidating, and thrilling to witness. I'd travel the world to see them, if I were able.
