A bowel question..or actually maybe more a ''stool'' question!

So,ya...for the last say 6 months or so,ive been getting two completely different kind of stools during the same bowel routine

-1st comes the formed light brown log...Moderate to large
-Then,a stim and about 5mins later comes a large, thick, heavy dark paste! I say paste cause thats whats its like, its not formed at all..and its so thick and heavy that if it doesnt hit the hole in the toilet and hits the edge above it...it will sit there for several flushes before it finally slides in..

Im just curious if this is normal? It works will for me,because i know until i get that second drop that my business isnt done. The whole routine takes about 30-45mins every second morning..

I go exactly like that too. I assume its the poo from way up high, that hasn't firmed up enough yet wanting to go to the pool.

This makes sense to me. I have an ileostomy, so effectively, I GO from higher up in my system. And mine is frequently just as you describe the second wave.

OMG Adi. sheesh, not to pee and poop, we full of shit and die in a week or two... As for the reel problem, is that second batch kind like tar that dark? and consistency? I'd be concerned of it being blood. Blood from higher in the system turns black, it won't come out red. Do you have stomach pains ,like maybe an ulcer?

Its maybe not quite as dark as tar,its deffinately most noticably darker than the first drop...which usually is light brown..but certainly the consistency of tar!

I do as matter of fact have an issue with my tum,but it was diagnosed as IBS.Ive always wondered about the ulcer thing though.

    Thanks everyone

My poo starts out as a log, then gets progressively less and less formed. When my personal sodomizer comes out with just a bit of liquid on it, I know I'm done.

I take about an hour and a half, but I dawdle, wait a half hour in bed, drink coffee, smoke if I'm smokin, shoot the shit with my PCA, make some phone calls on the throne.

I dunno; the color variation thing is strange.
