    get another chair from Medicare?

My current chair (TDX3) is not working out for me at all. Is it possible to request a new chair through Medicare, though my five years is nowhere near up? Would a letter from my doctor to my DME explaining my problems help?

It depends on how its not meeting your needs. I had to get a new evaluation for a wheelchair recently, because I had lost a lot of weight and my current chair that Medicaid paid for was too big and harder to push. I had only had the chair for a year before I lost all that weight, but it was a need that my insurance considers when paying for a new wheelchair prior to the 5 year time.
