Thread: Report on Spinal Cord Injury Research Conference, day 2

  1. #11
I could see myself using the FES cuffs yeah... but I've gotten pretty used to my claws. I can hold a bottle of beer... what else do I need?

Not much discussion at all about bowel, bladder and sex. One lecture touched on the subject but I missed the first half. It was the lecture on fMRIs. I walked (er... rolled) in while he was talking about sexual function and for some craaaazy reason, my ears perked up!

As for ICORD, I guess they're still finding new things to learn about physiology.

    great report.

can you go into more detail on the FES cuff? what it looked like, how large, how many movements could be programed or executed. was there any other equipment in addition to the cuff, ear piece and stim unit.

did they mention when i can pre-order my mecha suit?
