uppertone users- some tips for going heavy

just an fyi. i had an extension welded on for more slugs on my weight stack last year. . i have 7 10pd slugs on each arm. i snapped my 2nd set of cables this weekend. so we puit 1/8 in cable on. rated for much more weight.

also if your getting strong have new reinforced welds put on the shoulder press arms. snapped welds off both about a year ago.

Where did the welds bust and what kind of gussets did you make? I assume it broke where the horizontal piece slides through the vertical? How much weight and what position did it bust under?

Have you done any mod work on the grips? How are they performing with the increased weight? Figure you must have shredded the foam cushion long ago.
