    No, and they won't pay for a LAL mattress unless you already have a pressure ulcer that is at least a stage III.

    Check for used turning mattresses on eBay. I have seen some real deals there.

    All turning mattresses should be pressure reducing, but only some are LAL (low air loss) which have lower pressures than a foam or other pressure reducing mattress, but higher pressures than an air-fluidized bed.
