Here's an idea. You seem to be interested in this stuff. My chair has 36 bolts. All 1/4x about 1 1/2 inch. Grade 5 or 3. If we replaced them with 1/8 or 3/64 grade 8. How much weight saving would their be? Smaller diameter, but more dense bolt. How about a bigger bolt, that's centered drilled?
By the way. Thanks for the info on the VA numbers. Got my doctor to order some stuff, saved having to go to PT.

    Hi,

I have a friend ordering ZRA, and her seat to footrest is 13". I know that this measurement need high mount footrest. But she need flip back footrest too, is it possible for her to have a flip back footrest on a high mounting?

The footrest maybe could be raised 3". It would be close.

First you'd try to adjust it up. If it wouldn't go that high, but the footrest bends are not stopping it, measure how high it will go, then remove the footrest from the chair, and cut off off a bit of tubing from both risers to allow it to go higher, then reinstall it (I've never cut titanium, it may be hard to do).

If the footrest bends are stopping it, you'll have to install some kind of pad on top of the factory plate to raise it the rest of the way. Installing a nicely finished hardwood pad would look sharp I think.

If the chair fits you in every other way, you like the price, and you don't mind padding the footrest, I'd go for it.

Saw this in ebay, most of the configuration fit me, just that don't know the footrest height can adjust to 14" or not.

I have never traveled by plane with my AeroZ. I suspect it would not hold up under rough treatment as well as a titanium chair; I am quite gentle with mine. Ask SCI_OTR for his recommendation regarding a chair for air travel; he often travels by air. If I traveled often by air, I would want a TR3 with a welded backrest.

My understanding is the initial Series2 folding backrest issues have been resolved for new chairs. (Some older S2 chairs stll have the bad hardware.)

DU00019 is TiLite's Designs Unlimited code for a fixed backrest. (The DU00019 page says it's for only the ZR, but the DU table of contents says it's for ZR, ZRA, and AeroZ). I will call them later today (when they're open) to confirm that for you.

    Hi,
Planning to have a second chair. Still hesitate should I go for ZR or AeroZ 2 with enforcement. AeroZ will save me a lot of money, but will it stand through travel by flight? Does the series 2 backrest problem has really solve? Does AeroZ 2 has rigid backrest option?(I remember someone said it has). Thanks, good day.
