Hello summertime girl. I don't know if you remember me, but I was the Director at the Walker Institute in 1991. I noticed your post concerning what happened at the Walker Institute. I'm not sure of all the details, but there were several reasons they closed. Working with Dr Walker was truly one of the most unpleasant experience of my life. She and her husband screwed me out of a lot of money. Her ethics left a lot to be desired. Too bad. The clinic was on it's way to becoming a success after years of dismal failure.

Hey now, that's news I live to hear!! I recall you being so exhausted from work and dealing with SCI, and am so glad you're freed up now to enjoy the little ones and life. I hope your neuro pain is less on account of it, too. I'm fairly well, thanks. Take care now, I hope things continue to look up for you.

Thank you so much for answering my note. Yes, we do seem to have a lot in common. Two exceptions; I weigh 30lbs more than you and I am 20 years older -- ICK! I am wondering if you have any sensation below your injury site and/or if you have had any pain associated with bowel problems or SCI. I have severe neuropathic pain in my torso and legs; but I also have abdominal pain that is deep and feels like a deep pressure or gas. I am hoping that the colostomy might help with the abdominal pain. I just had my records sent to FL from CA and I have my second office visit with the Colon/rectal surgeon on the 18th. Are there any questions that are out of the ordinary that you think I should ask? Also, do you think I should post these questions on the forum. I haven't posted very much in the past; just pain stuff! Thanks again. Also, if I make you a friend what does that do? Holly
