I never push a shopping cart. Instead, I shop with a basket on my lap. I sometimes bring 2 baskets and in that case request that someone carry the...

I think the disability signs in the photo were photo-shopped. THAT's how much of a voting bloc we are. I'll read the article later, but I doubt...

Same at Trader Joe's. The employees there will help carry things to my car, which I need when I have more than one basketful of things, and there's...

Emmett, My injury level is lower than yours -- T4 complete -- I'm able to use the Peristeen independently. The Peristeen's "magic" is coupled with...

I didn't say I've been using it the longest, just the most. As Bill Maher says, "I can't prove it, I just know that it's true."

I'll take that bet. I've been using the Peristeen since 2011 having first purchased it from a supplier in Australia, which is pre-FDA approval. And I...

Some insurance covers it. Mine doesn't but I find them on eBay for not too much. The manufacturer, Coloplast, won't allow distributors to sell them...

The Peristeen is essentially an enema. Its utility is that the rectal catheter has an inflatable cuff that allows you to retain the water as you fill...

  1. Hi Lin.. I just want to wish you joy and fair treatment so that life can be better to live even with our injuries and pain. I wish to find friends here where I live to hang out with and i believe it would be helpful to the moral being. Its hard with health care being to harsh upon us. Just be strong and keep yourself busy. Hey you take care, Sammy..

Don't let the craziness of the HC Parking thread get you down. We are in there scuffling with each other like it is a giant scrum, and really at the end of the day, we all get to park there, and it is the ABs we should be concerned about. Also, thanks for the supportive comment re gay pride. It's not always easy being open about sexuality. You never know what reception you will receive. Just the other day there was a nasty homophobic post in the Politics Forum. One supportive comment like yours means a lot and paves the way for others to be accepting as well. XX Nikki

  8. Awesome! I love running into other hoosiers online. I'm originally from northwest Indiana, now living in Indianapolis for the past few years. I've literally worked my way down I65 continuously moving south lol. Its never been planned, just sort of happened that way due to changing jobs and housing situations.
