Sorry for slow reply I forget to look for messages, feeling "positive " this week!!! Feels like summer just started for me but there are only two weeks left, dang forest fires are smoking up our air to the point you can taste it. Hows your world?
Sorry I just saw your message. No not really it's just for maintenance, I really didn't see any extra function or return from it. I am a C4-C5 complete for 31 years so I never expected to.
of course Lip26. my name is Tim. how about you? i saw you are a fellow Floridian. great to hear from you.
Still do in my left ankle. Never got it fixed....the night splint never happened sadly Do you have it? Nice to meet ya!
Hey, Sorry I'm just getting back to you! It has been a really busy summer so far! To answer your question, I was hanging out with some of my roommates celebrating my friends 21st, and he decided to go sledding at a local hill. I had my snowboard on and was about to hit a jump when my friend wiped out right in front of the landing. I didn't want to hit him so I cut sideways and lost control of my board and wiped out sending myself into the trees. I kept tumbling until I guess I flew backwards into a tree. Broken wrist, 2 broken ribs, and T11 SCI.
Hey Lisa :-)
Hey! Thanks for the message! I hope we can help each other. I'm 100% wheelchair, no sensation or movement below the T11 level yet. They said little hope of walking, but by the stories i've seen around here, I'm not giving up hope! Even its just a little movement, I'll take it! What about you?
I'm new here, my husband was injured on Sept 8,2011 he was at work and fell 45 feet from tree and is now a T11- L1 parapligic. My name is Alysha I am 31 years old and we have 3 kids. I'm looking for people who know what we are going through
Tampa, Florida area
are you in Orlando
near Fort Lauderdale
Thank you. not really a cat fan either, but my two cat pics reflect my life in the military (LRP/Sniper) and my rage against what SCI has done to me.
good and you?
No, I don't mind. I'm 53, I've two kids 20 and 21. You look like you're even younger than my kids. Feb 11, 2011 was my injury - 10 months ago, no I'm not able to walk at all. I'm t8, Asia A, complete due to Schwannoma. But I'm starting to wiggle my right pinky toe so my doc is going to recommend pt next year when Insurance will pay for it again. I hope and pray that I'll be able to regain functions. If I remember, you're having lots of functions back in a short time. That's great.
I live one day at a time because if I think too much about the future, it gets too overwhelming for me. Also the future is something I have no control of so I can't worry about it too much.
