  2. Wow, you are doing great for someone is 101 years old!!!
  3. I live near Barnegat Light, NJ and the Searcher II has charters and open boat tuna trips. However, she doesn't have a fighting chair. The trips I took were out of Virginia, because it's a much quicker ride to the the tuna grounds. Let me know the nearest port town to where you are, and I'll see if I can find anything. I've been on party boats for other species. It's not my favorite way to fish, but the mates are always great. If you can afford it, the best trip is to take 7-8 friends and charter a boat for a tuna trip. Battling a tuna from a fighting chair is definitely doable, especially if you have a good mate explaining what you should do.

Is there charters for handicap people on these Tuna fishing trips? I just moved from Pa. to S.C. Let me know where you fish out of. I would appreciate it.
    Best Regards,
  5. Thank you. I did enjoy reading it, and it gives me a head start on setting up something for next year. Unfortunately, I'm 1500 miles away. Fortunately, our boat goes in the water at the end of the week. We'll be doing wreck trips for tog, ling, and cod, which have begun to come inshore for the past few years. Then the striped bass will come, following the schools of menhaden (I think you guys call them pogies.). A 50 lb.'er is not out of the question. Please keep me posted with additional info as you run across it. TIA.
