Biography:
Spinal Cord Stroke April 2016 . . 7 weeks in Mary Free Bed Hospital in Grand Rapids . . very successful recovery until 5 month mark . . . had been walking no cane or walker for 1200 ft, but gradually began losing stability, until very recently . . now can't walk 40 ft . . . very unstable. Also experiencing extreme fatigue . . probably drugs: gabapentin for leg neuropathy, and bactorin (?) for hamstring spasms. Little confidence in rehab doc and neurologist, both of whom prescribed "let's see what happens" when I started complaining about losing stability. Now, the problem has become visible to all, and neurologist says let's do MRI (thoracic and cervical) to see what's changed; then brain, if we see nothing on spinal cord. Stroke was at T5 to T10.
