Biography:
I am a double bilateral AKA, I was diagnosed at the age of 18 with a rare cardiovascular disease and I have had 7 amputations and 2 related surgerys, and in 2010 I went in for what I thought was a kidney stone and they found a 6.7 abdominal aortic aneurysm and because of the cardiovascular disease the operation failed and the mesh failed to attach to my femoral arteries and it became invaginated and I have only collateral vessels that give me circulation to my lower extremities, I have been going to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota sine the late 80s I only drive back for yearly check ups at this point because of moving from Iowa to Louisiana, I am currently 53 and I Have had some college and I have worked in the technology field for a few years working with integrated chips, then went into doing professional photography in portraiture and also worked for a printing and publishing company doing commercial photography, then after being put in a wheelchair I still did some photography until it became to hard, and from there I went into computers and then into website building on the side but after the decline in health from the operation in 2010 I have basically excepted the fact that I can not do what I use to and currently. A shout out to everyone and if there's anyone that just needs to talk I would be glad to talk about trials and tribulations I have been in a wheelchair 22years. I did some NWBA for about 5 years I have also done some sling as you can see in my album of me that I am on a yeti ski. I was also rated by the Paralympic committee or association and have competed in a open swim. I have also done some water skiing with the basketball team that was sponsored by a hospitals therapeutic recreation, I have found out life is not over it cabe t no I am just happy to be able to spend time with friends and family, it's nice to be able be on the site to find anything that could be a benefit in any way.
