Cooking has taken on a whole new significance, now that 'eating out' has become almost impossible and 'fast food delivery' has become too expensive. I've started buying the ingredients and making ethnic delicacies myself.

Here's what happened to me...
I had a fender bender accident on a freeway in a rainstorm. While standing behind my car, calling 911, another vehicle hydroplaned into me. The medical report says that I was pinned between two cars. My left leg was amputated above the knee, my back was broken at T9, and my spleen was nicked. Fluid immediately filled the cavity around my heart, and breathing was barely possible. Four expert doctors saved my life. I later learned from one of those doctors that, among themselves, they called my survival a miracle. He told me that they had had other similar cases with lesser injuries, for whom they had done all they could, but couldn't save them. Yes, I felt special. I think that the fact I had never smoked was a major factor in my survival. My lungs were able to make good use of that tiny bit of air they could inhale.
