Herniated SC through dura-- non-traumatic

Officially, the diagnosis was Herniated SCI T6-7, idiopathic in nature, with myelopathy.

I underwent repair on 12/3/13 spending two and a half weeks in acute care and rehab before being discharged home with a wheelchair, a walker a cane and every reacher/grabber/long handled contraption ever made. My recovery process is slow and fluctuations in my ability vary greatly from day to day. I believe I am just now beginning to experience the abnormal tonal effects which is disconcerting, but expected.

While I am struggling to figure out what this looks like long term for my life, family, and therapy practice, I am hoping to gain wisdom and direction by the stories here.

Spinal Shock is gone. Spasticity has set in. Wish this were just a bad dream.
