Thanks for the info! I´ll try what you recommended and ask someone to visit the apartment before me and measure everything!
I don't have pictures of that apartment and can't recommend it to you. My commode didn't fit through the gap between the bath and wall to get to the toilet ... my wife had to lift it into the space where the toilet was and then drag me through on a kitchen chair to where I could transfer onto it. The company had other apartments. If you book privately make sure someone goes there with a tape measure and takes photos showing you what is where. The company was Lara Group www.laragroup.net Be wary of google searches that deliver what sounds like a perfect accessible apartment. We nearly fell into a scam. Sounded too good to be true and my nephew who lives in New York smelled the rat. Through some detective work I was able to speak to the doorman of the building who said that people had come thinking they had accommodation.
Do you have the contacts or pictures from the rental apartment you stayed at in NYC? Did it have wide doors? Thanks!
