    Hello, how can I help you Mam ? I live far from Usa , I live in Kosova but I was last year in Kennedy Krieger
  3. Just thankful. I am so blessed that evan is still here with me. With a sci so many things can and do go wrong. He is making progress each and every day. Yes all of this is the hardest thing ( as a mother ) that i have ever had to do, but i know it will all be worth it some day. I used to gripe, ugh , got to go out for therapy today. Now i say , off we go for more progress today. It all depends on how you look at it. God bless

    Hi there,
    Glad to hear about Evans bike. That will make things easier for you not having to go to Kennedy Krieger. Dave just got home from wound care and his butt wounds are almost all closed up. He has a stubborn one on his one heel but they said it takes longer to heal because it is furthest from the circulation. The doctor said he can go to outpatient rehab soon so maybe with the therapy the heel will get more circulation to it and heal faster. Daves case manager still would like to see him go to Kennedy Krieger at some point. She said she knows paraplegics that have gone there and are walking now with braces. I am just learning to take one day at a time and do all that can be done. He goes to shock trauma clinic this month and we need to find out about how to stop his urine leakage. I took him to a urologist and he blew him off saying it is just the spinal cord injury. Keep me posted on Evans progress and take care. Diane

    My son went to UAB children's medical center, Sheperd's SCI Center in Atlanta, Schriner's Hospital in Philly, Dr. Kao's surgery in Equador and Hwangs in China and then 4 years in CIMT near Atlanta. He has stopped everything to attend law school in August. He is still a quad, but a healthy one with some use of his wrists, hands, and fingers.
    He received a large financial and insurance settlement and his mother inherited a large some of money.

    Good Luck;

    Joe
