I'm on my second set of the One tires. They are perfect for concrete and smooth surfaces. The wear is ok, not as good as the marathon plus tires...

Hi Devin! I signed to adaptivesportsforums and posted a new thread on Winter Sports asking for some info on Skiing. Can you give me some help? I´d love to try it next December or January and need some info. Thanks!

Thanks for the info Devin. I still keep bouncing back and forth between the 2. I really like the FRH-1, but I have put 100+ miles on a couple of them that I've been able to borrow. The Force G I only have put about 5 miles on, and it wasn't completely set up for me, so I'm not sure if I am as comfortable on it as the FR. I just keep hearing that FR aren't winning races, but TE are. And with either bike I'll be sitting upright, should I go with the TE since it sits lower to the ground? FR told me their bike weighs ~31 lbs. TE said theirs weighs ~38. but when my friend weighed his FR, he found it to be around 37-38 lbs. I just want a bike that will take me as far as I can go competitively. Blah... so much to consider..

    hello,
Just joined this forum and posted a question about the force G vs. the freedom ryder frh-1. I saw a few posts that you had a force G.. Was wondering if you had the time to give me your opinion between the two bikes, or just the force G if you don't know the frh-1..

    Thanks,
    Anjii
  4. Hi Bob,

In regards to my injury/condition... I am a partial para as the result of Transverse Myelitis when I was 11 years old. I'm 47 now and was in a chair for a few months when I was a kid. I now walk with a cane but don't get too far on my own.

I recently tried handcycling through Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra and just got a new Top End Force-G handcycle. I’ve only had it out for a few rides but really like it. It sits low to the ground making it a bit difficult to get in and out of.

I live in the Eastern Sierra area in California. There is some good riding here, even though there are not many trails. Not quite year round riding like there is in Florida though.

    Hey My395,
I'm a fellow wheeler & handcycler. We have trails here in Florida to ride on. I ride w/a friend who is a quadrplegic C6,7,8 from a skiing accident during a ski vacation in W.Virginia. Last run of the day he either went off the edge of the slope or trail & smacked into a tree & broke his neck. He's quite a guy.We play wallyball w/several other guys that are quads, 1 is post polio & one is spinabifida.llkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

    Hello My395,
I'm also a fellow handcycler. We have a lot of trails here in florida that I ride on w/my friend who is a quadriplegic from a skiing accident vacation in W.Virginia.He broke his neck last run of the day going off either the edge of the trail or the slope hit a tree & snapped his neck & put him in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. He's quite a quy. He does very well for himself. He lives alone in his own house & drives his own full size van.
May I ask what happened to you & what make & model handcycle you have? I've rented one several times from the city of St. Petersburg Florida Therapeutic Recreation Department for $1.00 per day. It's a QUICKIE SHARK 7 speed.
Well, that's about it for now. Take care & hope to hear back from you real soon.
    Regards,
