  1. I have nerve damage to the sacral/lumbar nerves.I also have a Mitrofanoff (used for bladder dysfunction.) I have experienced chills for years. I was so relieved to find out there was a physical explantation for these chills! My urologist had no idea why this was happening. I have finally found a pain doctor that understands this autonomic dysrelexia link, but I think his conclusion was based on the information I brought in from this forum! Thank you so much! These chills have been almost as bad as dealing with the pain. Has anyone been prescribed anything that has helped? I am trying clonidine right now. It seems to be helping, but I still have to take hydrocodone sometimes to get rid of them. Please let me know if anything has helped control these chills for you.
