Just wanted to stop by and say hello. I think it is so cool when i see the "other" 1/2 so involved in the world of the SCI. My husband is VERY supportive. I could not get through the day without his constant support. I am lucky in that I do not need much help other than putting my hair in a ponytail in the morning and putting my ted hose on my leg, but it's all the little things he does to make my life easier. He does all the cookin now and gets the kids to and from school most days.....i do work full-time, but after a full day i am pretty much DEAD by the time i get home. Anyway, i am glad to see how much u sem to support your husband, keep up the good work. This SCI affects the whole family. Take Care

  4. Hey, like you said, once a Screamin' Eagle, always a Screamin' Eagle. I'm sure the AF is better off for having you in it. I hear you regarding culture shock. Had a buddy prior service AF couldn't figure out why Army treated us like "dogs", in comparison. Had to chuckle. Yep, track mechanic, stuck to tanks like glue. Didn't get much REMF duty. Great life, miss it dearly. 77-'90, basic at Ft Leonard Wood, Misery; got stationed many places, but not the sandbox. The a gag order on me.
  5. Hi Sabine,
Thanks for your message. Hurried response not expected, duty calls, glad you're able to answer it. That's funny, I saw your posts about Iraqi women, and wondered how you'd been there only months earlier. Didn't have time to look at your profile at the moment, but knew you were military or ex- and sent the friend request - didn't check your profile till I got your message here. Hard Core, Hooah!! Shrinks me, being a lowly track mechanic buck Sergeant. 2ID Korea and Fort Campbell, you can keep them, yikes. I earned my ribbons, but obviously in a different way! You most definitely have my respect. Then, getting your commission in the AF, I wish I had half the drive. My son-in-law is on his first term, at Barksdale right now. Well hey, any more personal and we'll have to go to PM.
G'day Ma'am, keep up the good work.

  6. Hello - - - Life's good on this end. I'm definitely looking forward to warmer weather, too ... I love Colorado but it's much more enjoyable when it's nice out. How are things on your end?
