We would take everyone with us, the kids loved it, my mom loved it, I know those big boulders you are talking about, since it's such a small trail we'd bring steaks and make big dinners, bring wine, had a great time there and yes mr. ranger, the campsite was always better than we found it, the trail was pretty nice we liked keeping it that way. I've been talking to my sister about doing a hike there, don't know if I'm capable, if I can't we can camp by the river and fish.

Small world. Absolutely, Minister Creek Campgound and trail was my responsibility one month every suummer and anytime I was working as the district wilderness ranger. Beautiful area. Many off the drainages along the rivers and streams have these enourmous boulders at the very top before crosing onto the level plateau. I use to take my Alaska Maleumute with me in the winter and stay in the many rock shelters used by the native americans in the past. Hope your Mother enjoyed the trip as much as I have. Just great memories for us anymore. I am so greatfull that I was injured so late in life and had spent my life working all over North America.

Hey, we used to take my mother before she died, backpacking at minister creek trail, nice little weekend trip, I'm sure you are familiar with it.

Hi. I used to live not far from you. I lived east of Eugene but not a far as Blue River. I used to escape to Bend in the winter to evade rain. Smith Rocks is a favorite place.
Being a FT is a neat, different type of job. Working in the woods is great but does not pay real well. Bend is a wonderful, warm, dry place. I know you like it a lot.

My husband is a forest technician for Coos Forest Protective Association in Oregon. I think he has the same decor in his office as you do in yours :-)
