It could be that in cases where the vertebrae are stable it's not an issue. My neurosurgeon insisted that I would be stable. Follow-up xrays seemed to confirm the same. The physiatrist is a renowned doc, but terrible bedside manners. I wonder if he was conveying info based on the average. Anyway, would love to know what your surgeon says. Thanks.

Was curious about your laminectomy. I had C-3 to C-6 lamy done also. No fusion either. But a physiatrist scared me by insisting I should have had at least one fusion. He says I will become unstable over time. My neurosurgeon said otherwise. Any thoughts?
