and i can't figure it out to save my life. :o

my dsl is 3mb. my d/l speeds are 139kbps u/l 326. thats awful.

i've run all the spyware scans, virus scans and there's nothing. i accidentally deleted my built in recovery system. i've got a couple of winxp pro disks but dunno how to transfer my drivers to get the dsl going with them.

i think a reformat would help but i'm just stumped.

Nope reformating won't help. You ave 2 systems, so run the other too. Definately call your ISP, a failed harware at their end could be quite possible.

I forget what router you have, but check the logs, and it'll show your connections.

Spyware usually kills your upload not the d/l.

We have the same routers I believe... But anyway he has a linksys, from thread last year, so it should be the same.

yep, i have the...WRT54GS. somethings definitely faulty somewhere. i disconnected the router and hooked straight to my modem and it's the same thing. guess i'll hafta give em a call tue.

i reset my modem. it fluctuates up an down but right at the last second jumps up to 2511/325. maybe my modem's having problems? it's about 6 yrs old.

my guess is windstream will charge me for another one, lol. i know they're all different but anybody have a roundabout price for regular cablenet?
