New IPOD Nano

Just read about the introduction of this new unit which is basically a Iphone without telephone capability. It also has Wifi capability and the sleek design of the Iphone. What I don't understand is why they did not go a step further and integrate some of the PDA functions such as a contact list, and calendar which would provide excellent competition with Palm. They certainly have enough memory to incorporate these features. Am I missing something that is incorporated which I overlooked?

I'm gonna get me a iPod touch when it comes out. It looks and operates like the iPhone, but without the phone ability. Also thinner than iPhone too.

Edit: I think your talking about the new iPod touch, not what your title says.

Your correct, it is the Ipod Touch that I was referring to.

When used with a Mac, the regular iPod has calendar and contact list synching capability, though I don't know if the iPod touch does as well.
