For those of you who do the same job post SCI - how different is it?
Do you do exactly the same work?
Do people treat you differently?
What was the biggest change?
I find it harder but I'm still grateful that I could return to my job as a senior employee in a marketing consultancy.
My job is different now though. Pre SCI I ran a team of people and visited clients all over the UK and, occasionally, Europe.
I worked long hours. Was often at my desk by 7.30 and rarely home before 8pm. I often had work to do at home as well.
Now I hit the office at 9am and leave by 6pm - if I travel it is to clients a lot nearer. I troubleshoot or 'add value' across more client accounts and I still clash with my boss all the time. Being a semi-independent quad means I don't have loads of spare time if I'm going to shop and cook.
Some weeks it really tires me out.
