Who´s interested in getting in? The IPO price has been announced between $29 and $31 a share. Supposed to happen around the 25th of June. Lots of media hype about this. I´m willing to invest a few grand and sit on it.

Cant pull up a prospectus on Fidelity...so I guess I'm out, I'm more of a derivatives kind of guy anyway. But it did kind of peak my interest due to what they do. I dunno I'm a little leery reading something like this (http://www.marketwatch.com/news/story/blackstone-group-expects-record-significant/story.aspx?guid=%7B28F5EF19%2D1DEC%2D48AD%2DB96B%2 D04DCA6012100%7D) and wondering if the IPO pricing is baking it in or not. I'd be waiting at least until the market determines the price for this issue after trading for a bit. Or it could be another MA, lol.

MasterCard and Blackstone are totally different. Look at Fortress earlier this year becoming public.
Well yeah, but something about skimming their cut off of the ever so popular buyouts makes for big cash (at least from what my understanding of this is), like MA gets their cut off of transactions. I wish I could get a prospectus, but it seems my broker isnt participating in the IPO it seems. I wish I could see the numbers though for sure.
Funny thing about MA, a buddy from work and I were debating on whether to horn in on that or not. IPO's werent too popular in the preceding weeks selling off strongly, so they opened that at 38 from the origional pricing of I think 42, I was really thinking of participating, but that whole IPO stigma kind of was on my mind too. That's the lowest it ever has been, coulda shoulda, eh? :p . No matter, I did some amazing plays on that with the fun volitiity doing some options on MA in the following months, but heck, tripleing my $$ in a non-nail biting manner in the span of a year would be cool too.

The Visa IPO should be a nice one. I guess sometime this year or the next.
They are coming out with one too? Wow. Nice reversal in the market today, eh? I was kind of laughing looking at my account, threw a few sell orders in for good measure during the panic buying this AM, but never got a hit on them. Volitility premium started dropping, so I just cancelled the orders, I got till July and October on the junk I'm messing with.
Hey kk...here's a nice little momentum/technical play I've been liking...MU
If you check here (http://www.dramexchange.com/) you might assertain that the bottom of the DRAM hemmoraging might be in.
Then if you check the chart below you might determine that there is a nice double bottom, reverse head and shoulders happening there. No amount of bad news could drive this puppy lower in the previous months even considering the financials. Today it was really on a run with the huge jump in last nights spot pricing jump in DRAM, and I'm wondering what will happen when it crosses the 200 DMA currently at 13.49. Might be a buying frenzy looking at this picture! :p
I've been sitting on some Oct 11 calls in this for the past month, and I'm keeping them too on this theory, might be something you might want to play with. Good luck!

They report next Thursday at 2:30 p.m.. Looks interesting...
Yeah, might be a real optimistic call too, they presented at some sort of investor confrence a week or two ago resulting in a pop once they were done yapping. Odds on closing above 13 today? Looks like it's trying, lol.
Ha, stocks are fully valued and priced to perfection today, with the smart money taking profits. I love bearish market speak, lol. Hmmm, selling right into the close...OHHH NOOOOO!!!!! :D

Fuckin bonds.
I just wish people would stop hammering the indexes, for the only reason is my T options are waiting to get dumped (they're Julys). I shoulda dumped a week or so ago, I was up 80% then, but now I'm only up 10% or so. I'm in the money at least, but shit, I'm greedy! lol I'm sure that Iphone nonsense will make a flurry of interest. Its not like a stock that is paying 5% in dividend already is going down much, but as part of the indexes it gets affected, just gotta get the hype going a bit. And what was with that 4 million share trade in T on the close about anyway? Did they push it down to make the deal? Hmmm.
Hey KK, did you bite on MU? Nice run again today, spot DRAM was up big too last night.

I did. Semiconductor's as a whole were up.
Cool deal! DRAM spot up again last night. Another 4% today in MU? Getting to the point of having to think of an exit sooner or later for me, up 49% on my calls. It cant go up every day this way....right? lol Let's see how the move through the 200DMA goes.

Down she goes MU! The damn Blackstone opened up $45. And there I mentioned something about the damn thread.
Ha, nice market day, eh? PANIC!!! Kinda lame losing a week's gains on the common, but thanks to the marvels of volitility premium, real losses only amounted to 10% less profit than yesterday. I'll see how next week goes before deciding to ride it out or cash in to use for something else. T sucks though no time or volitility premium left on that of any significance, I guess if it stays above 39 somewhere between now and the 3rd Fri. of July I'm good. Shoulda sold 2 weeks ago, that's greed for ya, lol. MA surprisingly strong, but kinda feel like the moves been made....but then it still is going, wonder when that will end. FYI, MU supposedly has a lot more short interest recorded in May, which is good, I love when more people short stuff that just doesnt want to go down any more, they gotta buy sometime. Looks like we're rolling the dice on mgmt saying "OMG, WE"LL BE SHOVING IN MONEY" in their guidance, lol.

While you're rolling in October, I am in July. Hopefully they report nice earnings which would be a surprise! Or at least give good guidance.
Welcome to the world of outsized profits! (or going to the poorhouse, lol). I gotta say one thing, looks like it's totally technically trading watching this bouncing off the moving averages and short term supports, along with some massive bid pressure propping it up and moving it up. I'm not real worried about it, my flip of the coin on this says 'up' from where I'm sitting. I am befuddled on the financials of this being what they are, but hey, who said the stock market made any sense. Seems those with more money than us like it, so let's go for the ride! ;)

It's gambling to me and the house is kicking my ass. I spent like five minutes of due diligence before deciding on picking up some calls. After I get them, then I'd do a little bit more homework. I think I have it backwards! Stupid moron...
Dont worry about it too much, DD on this is useless, the company is overvalued, and has been. But the future is always perceived by some as much brighter, and the piece of paper that loosely represents this company seems to be following the DRAM market nicely. Once the DRAM market turned, I jumped in to MU, and sure enough, it followed the commodity. Going up some 10% in like 3 days has to retrace at some point. Next week should be interesting, or it could go to $0.00, or better yet, -$13.00...you'll owe money for holding anything related to MU, lol :D

Get out of Blackstone. The hedge funds are out of favor now and into the next couple of years thats why these guys took it public. Their cashing in while it still looks good. Our society mood on wealth is changing. Society wants the wealthy to share their wealth and their going to start by taxing at a higher rate. Shut some loop holes. And interest rates are heading higher which will kill their activity. If the democrates take the oval office this stock will be in single digits.
I'm going to share my favorite stock that I like with you. Nuance com. (nuan) I could tell you about it but I would like you to do some homework on it. This company is going to be the next oracle in voice recognition. This is going to be huge. And don't let the non earnings fool you. This company has been buying up competitors which diluted the earnings. If you or Andy take a look at it let me know what you think?
Blackstone is almost looking like the Vonage of IPO's eh? :D I'd hold off on shorting it into oblivion though, they are a real company. But not all IPO's are good, some are exit strategies.
I'm waiting to see how USD will fare in the coming months with the printing press running on overtime. Interesting how the frenzied selling after a climax blowoff is starting with USD dropping like a rock. I guess borrowing cheap from Japan and throwing it at the US market isnt as profitable for a momentum play when your gains cant get converted back at the same level due to devaluation, eh? At least that's the conspiracy theory I've been thinking of lately :p . At any rate, nice to see a selloff, I've been leery getting into the market for the last few weeks the way it has been going. But is the bull run over now that it is around 5 years? Who's crystal ball is working? lol
No advice on nuan, my brain is lazy tonight.

The only people to make money on the Blackstone disaster were the original "have I got a deal for you" hedge guys who set up Blackstone and the j(br)okers ... commision on the way in and when people are bailing.
Anybody who bought in early, within the first 6-8 months, will likely never see their money returned in their life time ... IMO
