So, I know I haven't been around as much in the past couple of years - mainly because I've been slammed trying to finish up school. However, after YEARS of taking 1-2 classes per semester at night while working 50+ hours a week, having my injury, the time off after injury, and a few years post-injury in school full time...

I FINALLY GRADUATED from North Carolina State University with a B.A. in Political Science. I'm proud and thought I'd share a few pictures. :)

Thanks so much for the congratulations everyone!

Haha..I see that everyone here has asked me the same question that everyone here in Raleigh has asked me over the course of the past month.....What will I do now?

Well, believe it or not, it looks like I will be saving my political knowledge for the CC forums...at least for the time being. Last week, I had my 3rd interview with a medical equipment company. If all goes well, I'll be the area's newest rehabilitation consultant/specialist by the end of the week.

Basically, I'd be working with rehab centers and indivdiduals to provide people with the right assistive technology. The only catch?...I'd have to relocate to Greensboro, NC which is about an hour west of Raleigh. But, if officially offered the job, I'm going to take it. It's a great company, I'd get to continue working with the "disabled" population, and I wouldn't be behind a desk all day (not to mention great pay and benefits)! I'm really excited about being off of SS and getting back to work!

Thanks again for all of the congratulations and I'll let you know if everything works out!

Hey everyone...I officially accepted the job offer today! I start training in Raleigh on Monday and will be relocating to Greensboro (1 hr west approximately halfway between Raleigh and Charlotte) in the next 2-3 weeks. Thanks so much for all the well wishes! Hopefully, as I learn the business, I'll be able to answer some of your equipment questions. Thanks again!
