freakin foot issues help!!

Okay I have been wearing night splints since my injury 11-4-03. The problem is I can't find anywhere to buy sturdy ones. My current ones velcro to everything. They don't even stay in place, if I get up once to use the bathroom they're on the floor in a mangled mess. I just want to support my foot to prevent foot drop for an affordable price. $60 a foot isn't affordable. Help me soon please.

Camille -- I would start with your rehab MD's office first. Ask them for a rx for a new pair of splints to be made or for custom boots. Also, have you tried to remove the old velcro and attach some new pieces? After a while the velcro loses its staying ability as you have found. It sounds like you need to be refitted with a new pair. Is it the boot type that keeps your heel off the bed and foot at a 90 degree angle or a different type? Were these the ones issued to you during your inpatient rehab stay? PLG
