Are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen effective against Alzheimer's disease? if anyone knows the answer please reply me.

There is evidence that ibuprofen does retard Alzheimer's. There is also a plausible mechanism. Wise.

what are the types of drugs approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FAD) to treat Alzheimer's disease.those who knows the types can reply me.

The latest NSAID clinical study (published May 2007) was not that encouraging, but in this case they did not use ibuprofen, instead used two other NSAID's: naproxen and celecoxib. There might be other clincial studies I am not familiar with.
