Paste it in, or type it..... Do you mean like this? (http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/showthread.php?t=80348)
Which is... write your text, highlight it, then click the globe icon above.
And it comes out like this Do you mean like this?

In the globe icon you paste the actual link, which you have already copied to your clipboard.
I think you want to do it this way.
i have been wanting to send a link to somebody for couple months. i don't know how either. wheres the globe? lol. could you somehow word it out easier. thank you
I'ts right above the text box you type your post in. It's a little globe with a paper-clip at the bottom.
1. Type a name for your link, like LINK - in the text box where you type your replies to threads.
2. Highlight the name of the link with your cursor, LINK
3. Click on the globe with the paper clip, and paste the url you are linking to
4. Preview your post, and click on the link you made to see if it works.
ps - the globe has already http:// typed in when you click on it - but I usually just paste the whole url I'm wanting to link to - including the"http://"part, into the globe url box, pasting over the existing "http://" that is already in the globe text box.

When you post your replys, the text box should havew a lot of options above it, Bold, Italic, justification, etc.
IF you just have a empty text box, with no options above, you need to go into User CP (Blue tool bar right next to Home) and change it. To do that you need to click edit options and then scroll all the way down to miscellaneous options. It needs to be set at WYSIWYG:

If you want to paste a link in an e-mail, most e-mail programs will automatically make it a link (blue & underlined) if you just type the link (or cut & paste it) if it starts with 'http://' .
