Yup, I got her fixed. Now I can sleep tonite. Thanx for all your help, JCC. After I checked the IE security settings and found that my Javascript was never turned off in the first place I decided to check youtube's help section. Sheeesh, it said there I had to uninstall my flash player and reinstall the latest version. Then why did I first get a message saying that my original version was still up to date.

I guess that's pretty much what you ended up doing, JCC. Right?

Somewhat.
I ended up deleating the activeX portion out of my downdoaded temp files somehow. I nosed around in my hubby's computer and found the link to the control that ran his and downloaded onto mine and got it fixed.

I downloaded the file off of your link, JCC, but that didn't fix my problem. I had to dig a little deeper. Problem is I am too lazy sometimes to do my own research.
