All of a sudden I can't play videos on YouTube anymore. I know I have the latest version of Flash Player, so that should not be the problem. I got a message on YouTube that my JavaScript may be turned off. How do I turn it back on? Can anyone help me?

I've been getting the same message too and I've been going nuts trying to figure out why. I thought I screwed up my computer somehow. Thanks, I know it's not just me now.

Thanx, JCC. I am glad I am not the only one with this problem either. I just don't know what I did to cause this. My Ex was over at my house easter sunday and she checked her emails on my computer and I have had that problem ever since. I blame her. (Just kidding.)

I noticed mine Saturdau y I think. I went to see Andy's video again and that message popped up. I've been uninstalling and reinstalling ever sence trying to figure out what is going on. I notice that there is only 1 activeX control program runnung in my temp file now where there used to be a whole bunch and I can't get them back.

I'm seriously, thinking if we dumped IE and went to firefox or modzilla would we avoid all this BS?

I actually like the latest IE version (7.o) a lot. Tried Mozilla Firefox for a while and found it to be slow and a bit awkward to navigate. Went back to IE. (I realize this is sheer heresy in geek and nerd universe, but so what.)
JCCarolina, have you been using RegSeeker or some similar program to edit the registry on your computer? I cleaned up mine 3 days ago and may have accidentally wiped out some vital systems file. Aaack:zombie: I am pretty sure now that this could be my problem. I doubt that is a browser problem, but who knows. Where are all the the certified CC techies around here?

The on/off is in the IE option, under security tab. Use a Custom setting and make sure it's not off.

Try this, see if it is disabled here:
In IE click "tools" then "manage add-ons..." Under Show choose "Add-ons that has been used by Internet Explorer." Scroll down and look for the problem program in this case javascript and click on it. Then click "Update Active X" and choose "ok" after you reinstall the program.
