View Full Version : PC Installation Problem.... pls help

This is my first post here and just want to say HI !
Uncertainly i did my installation in Disk "D" instead of Disk "C".... i know if any time i lost my windows threre would be all things deleted from C. Now there is no desk "D" visible in "My Computers" except of C and m very confused to how the setup convert to "C". Any help may be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure I understand your problem.
Is it that you want your operating system files on a partition of your hard drive that you called "D;", but the files were installed to "C:"?

Yeah All fils of operating system in Hard drive ( D ) and the C partition is empty but as you well know the "C" is not a right place for keeping important files and docoments.
Pls help me how can i convert these files to "C" ?

thanks So, do you currently have a "D" partition on your drive?

Reinstall it.
You can't just swap the files as the boot.ini points to D. Oddly this question was asked on Call for help last night.
