I found this website as I was looking for shoes. I am attempting to find something to wear that will stay on my feet but add the support of an athletic shoe...

Most shoes that fit AFO's fall into the granny category. Some of these are kind of cute...

Sometimes you gotta take what you can get....LOL

Hey, you also might want to try Munro brand as they make triple wide shoes that fit orthotics. They're cute for work/school.

I also like Propet brand. The wide shoes are actually pretty wide and fit orthotics.

You can google the brands and find where they're sold. I buy Propet at www.shoebuy.com. Munro are sold at Nordstroms and various other stores.

*sigh* I do miss wearing strappy sandals and sexy heels. Anyone figure out how to wear those with orthotics? If not the heels, it would be nice to wear sandals in the summer. . .

Tanja-

Next time you can, b/c I'm sure your town doesn't have one...Try going to a Rack Room Shoes...They carry A LOT of styles in the wider widths...and have good sales, like buy one get one 1/2 price...AFTER the sale price of the shoe...I got a pair of Converse and a pair of Sketchers that fit over my AFO's and don't cause me the AWFUL crushing feeling in my toes that most shoes do...WAL-MART also has ONE STYLE of Men's/Boy's No Boundaries Oxfords that fit nicely over the AFOs...They're an olive green... :) and look nice, don't look like "guys" shoes...
