We just got home from a southern Caribbean cruise where the weather was in the mid to hight 80's , I was able to walk with my cane about 2-3 miles a day , with very lttle pain , the Monday Morning we got home at about 1:00 AM , and when I woke up the next morning with the temperatures in the teens for highs and single digits for the lows with a wind chill of -15 to - 20 I woke up in so much pain I could barely get out of bed other than that we had a great time , Prices were so much lower down there and we live in a state without state taxes , I just couldn't believe it $10 a cartoon for ciggerettes and booze was cheaper than a can of soda and a bottle of water, but now all my pain is back and I feel like I'm back to square one ; LBUSH

The booze was cheap , But I didn't buy any my suitcases were already heavy , plus my Dr. told me only one drink at bedtime would be ok , and I didn't want to be tempted , I went into our liquor store to buy a lottery ticket and checked out the prices there and they were double the price and we have no state tax either , but we did have a lot of fun thanks

Larry, is there anything you take for that cold weather pain that helps? My Gabapentin barely puts a dent in it. I have tried Lyrica without any benefit either.

This cold weather is awful. The changing back and forth. Will be in high 30s during the day and drop within a half hour when sun goes down to below zero. It is killer on the body. There are days that i can barely move, and night I want to die. Nothing help. Physical therapy does nothing, if not make it worse. Pain meds dont help.

While on our cruise we found out my youngest daughter smashed up my wifes car she wasn't hurt but the car is a total , then today before I took my medication I had to go to the store about a mile and a half and wouldn't you know it , I got into a car accident myself , I had to go to the hospital to get checked out as if I'm not in enough pain nothing serious but lots of bruises ,now we have no car and my pain is even worse than before , as they say when it rains it pours , well this means no more driving at all for me not even to the local store , the DR. at the hospital told me take a extra Percocet every 6 hrs instead of the 1 , the temperature is going to be 1below zero , oh I'm so sore.;LBUSH

Wrecks must be going around. I got a call from my Dad last night. My mother passed out while he was at the store, he found her on the bathroom floor when he got back. He called the ambulance to take her to the hospital, but was wondering how he got to the hospital so far ahead of the them. Turns out the ambulance got in a wreck on the way to the hospital.

BTW, she was fine but they're under plenty of other stress this week. They're spending the week in a hotel while their house is being worked on to recover from a grease fire in the kitchen.

This New England weather is driving me crazy the next 2 days are going to be in the high 60's to low 70's then it's back to the 30's , and people wonder why I have the pain the way I do , I sure wish it would make up it's mind
