I would like to meet with an urologist in Los angeles area to evaluate and treat my neurogenic bladder.
Could anyone please suggest someone who is very good in SCI/Urology.
I'm 2.5 years post c6 incomplete and 28 years old now.

I would start with contacting the outpatient department at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Hospital in Downey. They are a SCI Model System Center and have excellent urology services.
Another option would be to see Carol Bennett, MD at UCLA. I am not sure how easy it is to actually see her (you are more likely to see a resident) but she used to be the chief of urology at Rancho and knows SCI urology.
In the South Bay, I can recommend Norman Zinner, MD in Torrance.

A Regina Hovey or Horey MD was highly recommended to us via Dr Suzy Kim at the UCI Healthcare. Haven't had a chance to get there...........

I have an amazing spinal cord doctor out of Long Beach....Dr Ann Visale who recommended a couple of urologists out of Long Beach. I will meet them in a couple of weeks, so don't know too much about them. I know they have several SCI patients.

I also see Dr. Ann Vasile, and she refers to Dr. Barton Wachs in Long Beach. I've been seeing him for a few months and so far he's been great. He has quite a few SCI patients and has done some research on neurogenic bladder, so he seems to know his stuff. Here's his website: http://www.atlanticurologymedicalgroup.com/
Good luck!
