I've not received any mail in either my Inbox or Bulk Mail folders since Friday. Before you remind me it's just because I don't have any friends, let me point out I have sent out several emails CCing myself. They do not show up in my inbox.
I asked my wife to send me an email. She did but it never appeared. I then sent myself an email from my Apple account from my computer, but it never appeared. I've checked all my profile info and it shows that Yahoo recognizes my ID and password. I am able to send mail but nothing comes in.
The Yahoo hotline associated with my Premium account is M-F 6am to 6pm. I have written the help desk twice explaining the problem and checked the help user forums for similarities, but to no avail.
Any suggestions? (Other than get some friends!)

Mine is having some glitches too. Or else the glitch is with your wife?-I've had her sending me those "Check my account" emails too!
I hope it gets well soon John.

Have you tried checking the Yahoo account from a different computer?

Done that! Same story and same problem no matter the browser, Safari, IE, or FF; PC or Mac don't matter either. Of course it shouldn't since Yahoo is web based, but I'm checking all the bases.

I have had the same problem with my yahoo mail account in the past few days I think. I subscribe to a few email lists that send out 4-5 digests daily and I haven't received any in the last 3 days.

John, sorry you're experiencing the Yahoo problem. Was just able to send a message from my Comcast account to my Yahoo account. It took a few minutes to post at Yahoo.
True that a particular computer shouldn't be affected by web based mail, but under certain circumstances it might matter. Easier to eliminate that possibility first.
Good luck.

I just sent an email from my regular mail (gmail) to my old yahoo account, which I only use as a spam account. (I had to reactivate it, lol, haven't used it in so long) Mail got there withing seconds.
WHat I did notice tho' is that they are pushing their new Yahoo! Mail Beta. Might that have anything to do with it?

John-
I'm not having probs...just checked mine myself....HOWEVER fist thing that comes to my mind is that your over your limit....I am subscribed to a buncha yahoo groups and often go over my mailbox limit, therefore disabling my ability to receive mail or save sent messages....check your mailbox capacity and see if your box is full...if it is then therein lies your problem....usually you get a message at the top of your main mail page, however if you click from the main yahoo page into your inbox you'll frequently miss this message....

Hi BW;
Thanks for posting. Unfortunately, I am only at 6% of my limit. I have a premium service account with 2 gigs of storage. Space is not a problem. However, I have gone to Yahoo problem message boards and many members across the country are beginning to post about identical problems.
They can send but they cannot receive email. It sounds like Yahoo has a glitch. It may be related to their new beta mail program causing problems with their servers, I don't know. However, Yahoo members are posting by the minute to complain. Macs, PCs, all browsers are represented.
All I can do is wait. I am sure before morning, Cheney will blame it on Al Queada.

Hi John,
I'm having a problem sending email to Yahoo addresses. I'm the editor of our local association and I send out monthly newsletters to 180+ members each month.
For the first time, I received this message listing 19 of our members (who are all Yahoo) that they did not receive my email. The weird thing was that I sent the email Mon, Feb 5th but got the notice on Fri, Feb 9th!

Unfortunately, mail problems seem to be more common with Yahoo. I recommend gmail, I have nearly 3GB for free. I've also had my Yahoo account hacked into a few times.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I am currently having my Yahoo mail forwarded to my Mac account. I still am not seeing anything appear in Yahoo but items are being forwarded. What I don't know is what may have been kicked back on Friday, Sat., and Sunday. Oh well, no use crying over spilt bytes. :D
I do hope they fix the Yahoo problem though. I have not tried Gmail but yahoo has lots of bells and whistles that until now were reliable.
