Anybody had Topamax work? What Dose?

I haxe worked through Lyrica (3*100mg/day and neurontin 3*600mg/day) with little effect on my NP on burning feet and bum and have seen some posts on a few successs for topamax. What doses have been used? The dose for epileptics seem to indicate that up to 800 mg/day can be tolerated. Any help appreciated.

I've posted numerous times about my experience with Topamax...I used to only be on 100mg 2x/day but I'm now on 100mg 3x/day...I'd been on 2400mg/day w/an add'l 800 on really bad days of Neurontin with little relief and horrible side effects...I have almost no side effects from Topamax(weight loss being the only one, but it's a def effect)...You can look into my old posts and find more about what I've posted on Topamax...You've been on a relatively low dose of Neurontin...you can go up to 3600mg/day, I don't know the max dose of Lyrica. I know my Topamax dose is really low comparative to the max and to what I was on Neurontin.

I tried Topamax, and was on it for about 2 weeks. On the first day, I only took a small dose, and I got lost driving to work (An easy route that I have probably driven 1000 times). I also forgot what I was saying in the middle of sentences. I desperatly wanted to sleep, but I couldn't fall asleep when I tried. I also totally lost my appetite. Although the side effects diminshed slightly at the end of the 2 weeks, I would still lose track of what I was saying in the middle of sentences.

I know everyone responds differently, but Topamax did not work for me. Maybe I should have stuck it out longer, but the side effect were just too sever to keep on trying.
