Somewhere in the forum, there was a letter from a psychiatrist asking us how we felt about the ethics of giving pain medicine to those in pain. I actually smiled at this post. I think most of you found this to be an incredibly naive question. Sort of like asking someone whose house was burning down how they felt about the ethics of using up all that precious water to put out the fire. I hope the psychiatrist will return and get a better feel for what he is dealing with here. Ethics? How about the ethics of not allocating sufficient funds to end central pain? That is more to the point. I thought that psychiatrist had something of the same feeling, but he has not been back. Hope he returns.

I want to know about the ethics of making somebody survive when they are 100% dependent on others and don't want to be here. I have to be fed, clothed, bathed. Someone has to stick their finger up my rectum for my bowel program. I am ready for the next big adventure. My worst nightmare is having this spend years taking all these drugs for pain and having the indignity of not being able to do anything on my own.
I admire all of you who are able to make this work for you. Best wishes. André

I think there's a good chance he was just trolling and trying to get attention for his blog. He said his bit, but was obviously never really interested in any feedback.
