If you ate cake...I would bake you one. Im not good at cooking tofu and granola though....LOL

Thanks all. Jeff, you fed my smilie fixation. I like it.:):bounce: Some people don't understand that the constant output of smilies diminishes ones reserve and they need to be periodically replenished.:thinking::mega:
I'm going to take this opportunity to tell my semi-pathetic birthday outing story.
I went out yesterday, not because it was my b-day but because I needed to do some food shopping. Albertsons supermarket had seafood sales so I'd "booked" rides to and from w Transit.
I got one of the women drivers that I get on well with and mentioned at some point that it was my sixty-third birthday. I think I worked it into the convo well but I may not have. Anywho, we had a nice extended ride because she had two more pickups and dropoffs that made the two mile distant market a half hour excersion.
Almost an hour into my shopping at Albertsone, a nice lady offered to get and bag my lettuces (in produce, where else?:doh:). For some reason she started asking me a lot of personal questions (I didn't mind, lonely old coots like to talk about themselves) and got around to my age. She wished me a happy birthday and made it sound sincere and said I didn't look near my age. Helps the birthdays of the second half century go down better. Then I circuitously asked her age and she, not looking at all bad, replied that she was seventy-eight. I got to return the compliment about not looking near your age - in spades.
The whole encounter was so totally unanticipated and pleasant. Then I had the same nice lady driver for the return trip. All in all it was a pleasant (probably a little pathetic to some) little outing. That's my life.
That's a nice story, Juke.
But we need a picture of you here, so us CC-ers can say whether you look your age or not. ;)
*you're a lettuce fan?*
lettuce = green floppy cardboard...
...just imo, of course. :)

Happy birthday. Sorry I'm late:o
Happy belated birthday Steve. I really enjoyed your story, even if it did reveal your age! I think I reveal my age when I say I expected that story to end in at least a sloppy birthday kiss.
Chris.

LO fxcking L, Chris, one with at least her bogus clackers falling out, huh? Whatever, thanks for the sentiments. She did ask if I'd ever been married and said that I seemed "a lovely man.", but I took the trouble to demur.
Rhino, three days after's late; your birthday greeting's a CC norm but the ":o" was an anticipated Brit. norm for politeness. Thanks.:)
