Hi there,

I have been reading some of your threads about Dragon Naturally Speaking 9 and I am curious if there is any other speech recognition software you would recommend? Or do you prefer Dragon? How easy is it to use? thank you in advance for your help!

I am using Dragon on my windows pc and iListen on my MacBook. Both are not perfect, but they do get the job done. I would give Dragon the nod between the two because it is a bit more user friendly and seems to recognize more 'out of the box'.

Thank you so much for your reply! I have not heard about iListen but I also only have a PC (not sure if its just for Mac?) I have now read on a few other forums really good things about Dragon, so I think I may try that. Before I make a final decision does anyone else have any suggestions? The only real drawback I saw (if you even call it a drawback) is that Dragon doesn't pick up slang very well, but that's not that big of a deal. OH! Does anyone know if you can use it for online games? I haven't seen anything about that yet.
