Have mercy on me!!!!
I just bought 360 Share Pro for torrents.
Good thing I know nothing about them before I purchased huh?
How do I find movies I want online and play them?
I am looking for:
Elizabeth-1998
Cromwell- ummm maybe 1965 Peter O'toole
How do I safely find, download, operate etc???
Any link or FAQs are much apprectiated!!

Most torrents are safe..As there is a comment section per torrent, and people bitch when they get virus's.
You need to just search, d/l, then view using whatever is appropriate.
I mainly use www.torrentspy.com and www.demonoid.com Demonoid requires signning up but its free.
Oh, if your running firewalls and/or NAT router, you need to open the appropriate ports.

I go here http://torrentscan.com/ and do my searches for torrents. None you need to subscrive or sighn up for and all are free just search and download.

I downloaded the damn torrent. Apparently it's an AVI.
When I open it I get Media player with no sound and funky drawings.
What did I do wrong?
I'm kinda new to torrents. I'm not sure if this is it, but you have to open the torrent file with your torrent download program to get the real file.

You might not have the correct codecs for both sound and video this is what causes you to either see images or the video and not hear sound or not see the video but hear sound. I don't have a place off hand to get all the proper codecs for windows media player, but I'm sure someone should.

Be careful with torrentspy I believe it's being watched by the movie people because I downloaded a movie from there about one month and a half ago and I got an e-mail from the big movie people warning me about the download. Asking me what happened and what measures did I take not to happen again, and of course I never responded.
Its definetly a codec problem, download this codec pack and then try to play the file again :
http://www.free-codecs.com/K_Lite_Codec_Pack_download.htm
or download this media player which has built in codecs :
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
report back.

If you want to use Bittorrent and stay below the radar, then you can try Tor Services (http://tor.eff.org/). It's my understanding that this will slow things way down. EasyNews (http://easynews.com/) is anonymous but it costs $10 a month.

Do you have Real player on your PC? A lot of files just might not be able to be played with certain software.

Honestly, I don't think I am opening them right.
I have Windows media player and VLC.
Every time I try to open the file, Bit torrent comes up and says
"File already exists" and then shows me my download.
I'm hesitant to download anything more.

Oh..... You've d/l the file already... Now goto where you saved it and just click it there.
D/l this http://www.k-litemegacodecpack.com/ package of codec's.. EVERY codec you need is in it.
Thanks for the info bout torrentspy... I don't really d/l movies so I'm safe.
