I downloaded xpy and it looks neat but I haven't done anything because I don't know about alot of the items listed. Is there a website that tells what these settings do or is there sample xpy's somewhere I can copy the settings?
Hi Jim,
I read your post yesterday and I have never heard of XPY but I think you need to be a sophisticated user to run it. I did read what this software claims to do, but couldn't very many user reviews. I think there is also a chance that this software could break Windows XP. If you haven't, take a look at Steve Gibson's website GRC (http://www.grc.com/default.htm) because there are some things you can do to make Windows XP and Internet Explorer less vulnerable. Microsoft is adding a lot of Anti-piracy software with their Windows Genuine Advantage and they are really going to lock things down with Windows Vista.

I think you're right. I couldn't find any reviews. I got rid of it. To sophisticated for me. You ever hear of XP Antispy?

I have never heard of XP Antispy until today. I suppose you could download it from Major Geeks (http://www.majorgeeks.com/download2062.html) or Softpedia (http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/Popup-Ad-Spyware-Blockers/XPAntispy.shtml). I don't think that XP AntiSpy would have had any impact on the Windows WMF Metafile Vulnerability (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Metafile_vulnerability). Windows is a complex environment. The more you mess with it the greater the chances are that things will mess up!
