Friends,

I know I haven't been as active on the forum lately. I haven't forsaken any of you, there's been a lot happening on my end lately. My Internet connection has been considerably slow off and on for weeks now and it's even a bitch just to sift through the threads here (there aren't that many graphics on this site).

I also relented and started an antidepressant called Imipramine on the 9th and after the third night, insomnia kicked in and from there the side effects just got worse. I'm starting to feel better but I still require Xanax to even fall asleep. I tried some natural things but even many of those had warnings on them so I thought if the medicine is more effective and the natural things have cautions as well, I might as well just use the more effective treatment. The side effects haven't been comfortable but at least they go away in time.

Ironically, I've also been doing more in the past few weeks while feeling sick than I had been doing when feeling well. I chose a perfect time to start a new medicine. :p

Blessings to all of you. I hope you're all well.

Todd

Glad your back Le Toddster. I've been having internet problems too. Antidpressants are evil. I usually take a Bennadryl at night to help me get to sleep. That's what a lot of OTC sleep aids are, and Tyllenol PM is just Tylenol+Bennadryl.

Myc0,

Antidepressants are very powerful drugs. I'd tell anyone considering taking them to at least be willing to go through the side effects period. This period can be very difficult to deal with.

I've never found that antidepressants make me emotionless or feel euphoria. They simply help prevent panic attacks by inhibiting the reuptake of norepinephrine, which is responsible for the physiological changes that take place in a panic attack.

I hope you feel better soon. I haven't been as active either, but I did notice your absence and missed reading your posts. Hang in there! ;)
