I would like to save to my Desktop a new unwritten e-mail so I can open it for composition without having to open Outlook Express. Can that be done? When I save a new unwritten e-mail to my Desktop as an
EML file, it opens as an already composed e-mail. What am I doing wrong?
I'd probably just try saving it in my documents, worth a try

Jimi5,
I think the only place you can save a draft (unsent) OE message is in the drafts folder. However, as a work around, try
1. saving a blank message to your desktop
2. open that saved message
3. click on "file"; "new"
This should allow you to create a new message w/o opening OE.

If its saved to your desktop already you could try right clicking on it and opening it in notepad and editing only the part where it has your message.
