Welcome to my world of bed life.... 2 yrs now..

Okay, Your in bed, so do you have Dsl/Cable or are you Dialup? Do you have a router?? I.e. both computers are on the internet, or is only the laptop directly connected to the internet?

If you have a router, your golden and don't need to actually transfer te stuff, as you can just setup a home network.

Or the easiest least work, is just burn everything to a cd.

Either way your goning to need some help if you can't reach your desktop.

Let us know about your internet setup and we'll go from there

Although there are lots of ways to accomplish transfers, I find it easy to transfer files using my USB flash drive. Quick and convenient.

The best way is to setup a network..... Will take about 6 minutes. Once done, you can access whatever is in the shared folders.

READ This and ask away. (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/networking/setup/default.mspx)

Basically you got to "Network Setup Wizard" and click next. Doing this on both computers sets up the network.

Then to share the stuff, you right click on the folder click sharing. Check the "Share this Folder".

DONE!
