http://buyersguide.macrumors.com/ has an interesting site. It reviews the average number of days since the last update of a given Mac product and recommends whether or not to buy the product. If it has just been updated, you should buy. It is due for an update soon, you should wait. For example, today, it recommends that people wait on the MacBook Pro which should be updated in about 50 days. However, it recommends going ahead with purchases of Apple LCD's, Xservers, PowerMacs, and iPods because they were just recently upgraded. Wise.
